Brodys First Vacation

Sunday we decided at the last minute to come vist Travis' family here in Little Rock. Its Tuesday now and I do NOT want to come home ever!!! I love it here!!!!! Monday We went and had a girls day and got pedicures & let the boys to whatever it is they do. Today we went to the Clinton Presidental Library and to The Old Mill. I don't know what they use to mill there but it is BEAUTIFUL! We are suppose to be coming home tomorrow but I am just not ready, so I'm trying to talk the husband into staying just one more day. It is pouring now so its kind of ruined our plans for tonight. We dont know what we are doing tomorrow but I will keep yall posted and will have some pictures up when we get home.

Update!!!

So its been a few weeks since I have updated y'all on Brody. He got his first round of shots on the 26th and did really well for him being such a "girl". He acted like a big boy!!! He cries worse when you walk away from him!!!! Of course Daddy had to do the holding down part. We had his 2 month old pictures done and they turned out sooo good!!!!!! I can wait to go again this month!!! Just in the past couple days he has started to talk CONSTANTLY!!!! and drool all over EVERYTHING!!!! I don't think I'm quite ready for that stage with my "OCD" I can't deal with dirty onesies! Yes I know I'm def going to have to get outta that. He has started to hold his toys and shake them!!! he is just getting big so fast. I am conflicted with the decision to go back to work but with all the new things he does everyday I don't think I want to miss it, not to mention Travis and my family totally object the thought of it!!!!

Here is a video of him talking to his new friend, mouse, but of course as soon as I pull the camera out the just about stops talking all together!!!! We go through that on a daily basis I have come to the conclusion that hes camera shy :).

Valentines Day

So Brody celebrated his first Valentines Day in his cute lil' outfit his grandma (Nelson) got for him. We started the day by just hanging out in our pjs around the house then started cooking and baking for the FEAST we had, it was nice there was sssooo much food but it was soooo yummy. After we ate the girls (Vanessa, Mandy, & Lisa) & I all went out for a few (to many) drinks leaving the babysitting up to the Daddys, Casey, & Fergy. :) We didn't ask but I assumed they enjoyed themselves I know we did and didn't even miss our 12:30 cewfew.

Happy Birthday Granny

Sunday we went to Granny's 87th birthday party & Wow was Brody a hit with all the old folks and the family. He was meeting most of them for the first time, & I think he liked them pretty good.

Welcoming Brody Nelson Searcy!!!!

December 26, 2007 we welcomed our first child, Brody, into the world!!!! weighing 8lbs. 7oz. & 21 inches long!!!!!WOW!!! It is the best feeling, best thing, best EVERYTHING that could ever happen to us. Or anyone that has a baby for that matter. He is growing and getting big FAST. It is the most rewarding feeling to wake up with him everyday and to see all the new things he does. We are very serious on getting him on a strict schedule and its working well so far, I got to sleep 7 hours STRAIGHT w/a 6 week old!!!!!!!

Our House

After being 3 months later than expected we FINALLY got moved into the new house!!! It was a long, drawn out, STRESSFUL process BUT I am very happy to report we are settled in and dont plan on going ANYWHERE for a WHILE!!!! We have alot of work to do to get everything like we would like it and make it our "own" but we are very excited to raise our son here!!

Wedding Week

We got married July 21, 2007
We had a great time everyone stepped up and helped out TREMENDOUSLY!!! I could not have done everything if it wasn't for my "step- mother-in-law (wish i didn't have to put a step in there), Big G and all my maids!!!!!!! I am lucky to have had those ppl apart of our big day. The rehersal dinner was soooo good Big G cooked us some bad A bar-b-que and beans, which I dont have to tell you that if you ate it!!!!!! and hung out by the pool. the wedding was nice it was very relaxed and turned out pretty good I have heard that everyone had a good time & I think all Travis' friends kept them entertained between Bobby's Striptease & the Keg Stands. As far as the honeymoon goes we went gambling in Lake Charles and did really good til we got the fever and HAD to stop at Delta Downs on the way home!!! they took all our $$$ in like 45 minutes (bitches) then we went to schliterbahn and my wonderful "new" husband lost his wedding ring!!! He was taking it off and i asked y so he left it on and now clams it is my fault its gone. whatever I still have mine!!! Here are a few pictures of the week hope yall enjoy!!
